glad its spring....
- I like the use of the two blues, on the ground, and in the ice maiden. The starkness/sharpness of the winter ice contrasts nicely with the colors in the rest.

Winter approaching or leaving?
- I agree with Rhonda. I saw it as winter's last hurrah! Maybe it depends on when you look at it. It may feel differently in fall!

Miss Winter
- I like the story telling, although Miss Winter's outlining is a bit to harsh, would have liked it softer.

Focal point
- Not being a fan of fantasy art, I wouldn't normally study this type of picture, but, for what it's worth, I think the image would be improved by moving the focal point (figure) away from the corner

Winter Approaching
- I can see the thought process behind this, and the idea is good, I think that the two halves are competing with each other a bit and as it's called Winter Approaching I would have subdued the fall part I think.

Great depiction!
- Lynne, Being from Missouri, I certainly know where your thinking is! I love your graduation of color from spring/summer, to fall, to winter. And, indeed she does dance across the boundaries all too often. I am especially impressed with the ground work from winter to spring mud...or fall mud. great texture there!

Winter Approaching
- This is an interesting painting. I assume the figure represents winter approaching fall. I would also assume that fall had already taken over spring & summer, so I don't know why they are shown. The blue hands & arms are a bit creepy and I would like to see more value change between the figure and the shadow.

Winter Approaching
- I viewed this from a different perspective and saw it as winter backing away as spring came to overtake "her", Very interesting way of presenting a subject.
