Leaves
- This is a striking painting. I can't believe it's only your third painting! I really love the sky and the branch, too. As for you call for comment, I think you should paint out the top leaf and leave the bottom leaf, but smooth it out (the sleek lines of everything else make the scalloped leaf shape look out of place). So, I would instead go with a different leaf shape all together (something like a long almond shape with a few tiny zig-zag edges might work better). Kuddos to you for submitting this. I have to work up the courage to get back into painting again and then submit, too. You are inspiring me to get to work!
