new year's resolutions
- I painted almost every day last year and I sold a lot, but I feel very empty now all my paintings are gone. I'm going to paint for a exhibition this year; I want a change.

Three Resolutions
- To practice sketching and drawing every day. To paint something everyday even if its a mini practice piece. To enter every monthly project. I hope to live up to my expectations.

Forward
- I hope to develop my oil painting techniques. Though I have flirted with abstraction in 2008 I think I will concentrate more on non-abstract work in 2009, particularly landscapes.

try something "new to me"
- One of my Christmas gifts was an Italian easel and along with it came watercolor tube paint and a watercolor book(by Grant Fuller). I have devoured the book already and can't wait for the holidays to come to an end so that I can get brushes and paper (with my gift certificates) to start some new projects.

Share the arts
- I was inspired by another artist on About.com forum to share what we know with others, that it is a debt that we need to pay. Someone along the way helped us so we need to give back. I started in December giving lessons at the Senior Center and now I am scheduled to start at a retirement home. I have been blessed with so much help from other artist along my way. So for 2009 it is my resolution to give more of myself back and pay this debt.
