To Have an Exhibition
- My dream has been to have an exhibition of my paintings -- so will have to work hard this year with a painting a month that can qualify for an exhibition. Big dreams, but life itself is a dream.

Paint More
- I'll do some more painting this year whether I like the result or not, allowing my works be born rather than aborting them for whatever reason.

Paint Without Long Breaks
- I find myself taking time out for gardening. I will paint during the warm months, in future, since I also have a passion for flower gardening. I am almost finished my outside structure, which I'm calling my Garden Room. Large windows and old brick floors. All done from recycled items. Will finish it in the spring. Can't wait.

Sharing
- I will share what I learn while painting or drawing with my grandchildren.

Confidence
- If a man cannot cope up with the rest of the world he need not worry, perhaps he hears a different drummer, let him follow his own path...I will have more confidence in my work and not be affected by critiques. Just go with the flow, there is nothing right or wrong in art, art is just art. One important resolution- keep painting! All the Best and have a Very Happy New Year ahead!

Keep Painting
- I plan on getting down to business and paint more and be more confident about my paintings. Everyone says I am such a good artist and I have trouble with the compliments. I never think the paintings are good enough. Now I will just say Thank you and keep painting. Always felt if I tried to sell just one painting I would have more confidence. My daughter hangs them all in the hall way. LOL . I will try harder to paint and show more. Happy painting everyone. I enjoy it so much.

New Year's Resolution
- I will produce variations of each good idea to explore related or other media & sizes to increase my productivity from a limited number of really good ideas.

2010 Art Resolution
- Finally, after 26 years of painting, I will get wise and stop showing any of my paintings to anyone... anywhere... at anytime. I enjoy creating my paintings, and I need to leave it at that.
- —Guest Guest S.H.
Take More Time
- I will take a little more time with details and try painting a subject I have never done.
- —Guest Betty
Develop and Learn
- I want to develop and improve my present painting methods, there is so much to learn in painting.
- —Guest chavali
Making Time
- I'm resolving to make time for myself in usable chunks even if it means paying someone to do some basic housework. Part of this resolve is to declutter and I'm almost finished doing that so that I have some space to work in. I'm keeping the faith that I'll have a productive 2010 and maintain a positive attitude.

Less Doubt
- Less time having self doubt about what I think I am able to do. More confidence that I can do it and do it well.
- —Guest Joy Hirst
Dithering adieu
- After several penny lectures from my son I'm busy revising a book I wrote over years and years and was scared of showing to anyone. I'm a coward. I hate rejection. This year I'm going to risk it. I'm going to compose music instead of just arranging it for my chorus! As a musician by trade, this might be the easiest creative effort for me, but who knows? I'm at a turning point with my painting. I have an exhibition of 50 paintings till the end of January. I need to change directions, or decide on one, or manage to paint one respectable watercolour, or...I wander from one genre to the other at regular intervals and the writing is dominant at the moment. But I'm reading everyone else's art ideas and hoping one of them will reach out to me.

what I plan to do with my art in 2010
- Write about it. Actually I do, but I plan to work on those writings and complete the thoughts in them. Create an active creative journal/sketchbook. I will take it out of my bag and use it.I will publish what I write and sketch in my blog. I will publish one article reviewed and edited to my blog each Monday.I will be more organized and thoughtful for my junior classes, taking a stronger direction for these. I will make an effort to review several paintings on the forum critique each week, really looking at and giving a thoughtful, helpful critique. I will experiment in my painting and other art. I will try at least one new medium for both painting and drawing. I will seek out one workshop that will help me grow as an artist. I will organize my studio. Really, I will. I will organize how I store both finished works and supplies.
