Artist's Statement
I recently started painting. I never took any training however I draw and paint on my own sometimes.
I came from work and I was in the mood to make something emotional. I love this background color so started with background and then landscape. I somewhere saw this tree so it was in my mind. I was thinking of adding a girl sitting but suddenly decided to switch to this kissing or about to kiss moment. Little circles are my happy symbols which I added to give it completeness.
It took me start to finish two hours. I wanted to give more color coats and more finish to it but ended up leaving it where it is.
What I'd Do Differently
- I would give it planning in place of free hand, impromptu, quick painting with single coat of color.
- I would use some texture for landscape and make it more mature painting in terms of painting style and skills.
- Tree could be better and landscape definitely needs more work or changes.
- I have started learning textures and glazing for acrylic painting. Maybe I can use some.
