Artist's Statement
I paint a lot of old rusty vehicles and I mix usually three colors to get the level of "rust" I want. This time, I did a wash with burnt sienna and drew in the tractor with the same color. I liked the effect and was going to finish the painting with a sunset and green, brown and yellow dying and dead grass and weeds.
I saw this month's project and decided to do it all monochrome. This is my first attempt and I did it rather fast.
What I'd Do Differently
- I would have used less "grass" in the painting.
- I need to fix my wheel shapes.
- I don't know if I have enough changes in value.
