Artist's Statement
When the procession of god idol comes on the streets all the people offer their offerings. A festivity appears with music, children running on the streets. The chariot is decorated and people looking from their balconies.
Lessons Learned
- Adding too many figures not resembling the same is difficult and needs lot of imagination.
Marion Boddy-Evans, Painting Guide, says:
One way to gather ideas for a lot of different poses is to use a small sketchbook and spend some time watching a crowd of people, even a small group, or working from photos. Use a pen or pencil to quickly put down a pose, don't aim for detail. Even something as simple as just a line for each leg and arm, the angle of the body, and the head, will provide you with ideas when you later sit down to paint.
