My Thoughts About This Challenge
I wanted to try and show the dryness of the environment and vastness of the landscape, as this is what I think of when I look at the photo. I started of with pencil sketches to get a feel of the image before creating this piece. I felt that a watercolour wash (dryness) and black pen (barren grass) would be ideal for portraying this. I think the image has worked out quite well, and I like using opposite colours (blue/orange).
Lessons Learned
- I'd like to paint this image again, possibly using acrylic next time.
