My Thoughts About This Challenge
The photograph inspired me to change it and use a blue background. Actually the photo just got my "juices" going and I came up with something of my own.
The color contrast gives a different dimension to the subject. I like that. I wanted it to appear that there might be something beyond what I was seeing in detail so I fuzzed in the background color and used yellow over it to create the illusion of leaves and other things.
I want to create motion in my painting because I've seen the sunflowers blowing in the wind in Kansas. What a sight.
Lessons Learned
- I love the color contrast
- I like the blue playing with the yellows to create some nice greens
- I like the size and shape.
- One of my favorite paintings.
