What's on My Easel
I have just finished the abstract painting using yellow, red and black, the top painting, is 36x48 inches. The one below it was just before and is finished, mixed-media, and is 40x30 inches. Using acrylics and mixed-media.
What I'm Doing
I am presently thinking of my next abstract painting and am thinking of shapes. I love painting alla prima but sometimes feel that the painting is finished to quickly. I love to mix media with photos, paint, and text.
I just moved into my loft in October of this year and love my studio, which had two 10 foot windows letting in the western sky. My wife and I love to see the sunset daily and usually photograph the most spectactular ones.
Advice
- I do like mixing paint on the canvas and painting alla prima, in one sitting.
