What's on My Easel
What is on my easel is a painting of a reclining woman. I'm using acrylic paint on an 10x8" canvas [orientated in landscape format]. I think it is about halfway done, I like the color of my skin tones, so all I have to do is finish the hair, and the wrap on the head and the bracelet on the arm, it should be done maybe tomorrow.
What I'm Doing
This is the only painting I have going at the present time. I would like to paint a couple of landscapes I have in mind, one is an old farm house that just really caught my eye, and maybe an old barn sometime to, I like old barns. But back to the present painting yes it is turning out better than I thought.
This feels like the first painterly painting I've done.
Advice
- What I have learned on this painting is how to lay down a wash for a background, also I've learned to make my own skin tones, which was a neat process. I am pleased with the wash, it turned out real nice.
