This painting is portrait of a male leopard, it is about 60 percent finished. It's 20" x 24" in acrylics on canvas.
What I'm Doing
I am finishing this piece for an up-coming wildlife show. I still haven't decided on what type of background to use but I will photograph it and play with the background in a photopaint program. Normally I would do a more detailed background but this is more of a close up and I don't want it to get to busy.
Advice
- If you work from photos, take as many as you can of the subject from various angles.
- Use glazes to soften areas in acrylic paintings.
