Artist's Statement
It was very tempting to eat the yummy chocolates before I could paint them', have eaten them now and they were delicious. I had fun painting chocolates, had some trouble in getting the colour of chocolate but found by mixing burnt umber, burnt sienna and white it seem to work. Background is more of a chocolate colour than on picture. I think I would only paint three.
What I'd Do Differently
- Should have only used three pieces of chocolate and made them larger in size, I am finding if difficult sometimes to paint on a small scale, normally I paint on much larger scale.
- I like the doilie effect, also I am pleased about the chocolates.
