From the Artist: This small acrylic picture was first one of my moonflowers ... then it kept changing.

From the Painting Guide: That's one of the joys of painting an abstraction, rather than a realistic painting, you can let the painting evolve as you're working, to just see where you end up.

Things to Consider When Looking at This Painting:
Line vs Color: One of the great debates in art theory is the one about the use of line versus the use of color (colore vs designo), whether draftsmanship (the ability to draw well, in proportion) or the way color was used was more important. But in paintings such as this there's no need for a divide, the two elements are united and inseparable.
