From the Artist: This is a still life made up of found objects in my home. I think it lends itself to a brown monochrome. Gives a feeling of old, musty, and a sense of a story of another time. I enjoy using ordinary things to make an interesting painting.
From the Painting Guide: It does indeed have a lovely sense of another time, I think both through our associations with sepia photos, and previous eras when clothing and decor were dominated by earth colors.
