From the Artist: This is my first acrylic painting. I made it from a reference photo I found by Enrica Bressan, who gave me permission to use it.

From the Painting Guide: Your first acrylic painting? Wow! It's spectacular.

Things to Consider When Looking at This Painting:
Composition: Look at the positioning of the cherries, how they're orientated at different angles; this is far more visually interesting than if they're both been lined up the same way. And notice how the water drops at the bottom, the ones about to fall off, demand your attention even though their color doesn't dominate the painting.

I would frame this painting so that the tops of the cherry stalks go off the edge, to give a sense of them hanging from something unseen, whether it's on the tree or held in someone's fingers. I would also give a slight curve to the left-hand stalk, angling it a little to the right towards the top. At the moment it just seems impossibly straight, and while I know you do get straight cherry stalks, I think a slight curve would seem more natural, as well as echo all the other curves in the painting.

Painting From Other People's Photos: Always remember to check the terms and conditions that go with a "free" photo to see if it allows for the making of derivative works (i.e. a work based on the photo). If in doubt, check with the photographer; they'll likely be happy for you to do so.
