From the Artist: "I am more a photographer than a painter, but I like drawing and of course Vincent's works and life. My first contact with Vincent's work was around 1970, when I began to make some pencil or charcoal drawings, trying to copy some famous paintings. I think the portraits of Armand Roulin were for me more than just two well-known paintings, the portraits were the reflection of my own character. When I first encountered them, I was an 18 years old boy, very shy. The book about Vincent's works I found was the beginning of studying more and more about Vincent van Gogh."
From the Painting Guide: When we think of Van Gogh we tend to think only of his striking paintings, often forgetting the passion he also had for drawing.
