From the Artist: "I was looking through my works, to prove to myself that although I say I am not enamored by Van Gogh's works, I seem to emulate some of the styles he is known for.
From the Painting Guide: In this painting, what reminds me most of Van Gogh is the way you've rendered the table, it looks like woodgrain with a sense of fire in it. One section that doesn't work for me in terms of composition is the top right corner where there's 'nothing' my eye gets drawn right into the background and then tends to stick there. Otherwise the placement of the elements has a definite flow to them, drawing your eye into each and from one to the other.
