From the Artist: Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists. I am overwhelmed with appreciation of his brush strokes and his artistic genius. A couple of months ago I thought it would be fun to try and copy one of his paintings but knew I'd be better off with just a section. So here is a corner of Starry Night. I loved doing this!
From the Painting Guide: I think your version of the starry sky shows the fun you had painting it. There's a vibrancy and energy to the brushmarks, and your colors are strong and pure.
Things to Consider When Looking at This Painting:
Taking it Further: Now you've done a fabulous starry sky, now about painting a landscape or cityscape with a starry sky. Make it a landscape of your own, rather than Van Gogh's, and give it the "Vincent treatment".
