From the Artist: I was working on my "expressive self portrait" for the other gallery project for this month and had completed it but tried doing some more expressive faces. The painting I was working on had developed a heart formation at the bottom of it so I decided to develop it into a heart and enter it into the Valentines portion of the gallery as I have never entered a painting or card there.
I just don't normally paint anything too romantic. I like this painting because of the message to my husband, Clyde, who has had so much trouble this year with his health. I wanted him to know how I felt. So okay it's kind of a goofy painting and I can see that the camera did not take a crisp clear picture but I still like the painting.
