From the Artist: This is my first attempt in acrylics, they dry too fast for me. I did not use brushes, but let the paint gel together on it's own. It created an interesting look that I hope you can see in the photo.
From the Painting Guide: I don't imagine your photo does justice to it, but I get a sense of some beautiful texture and blending.
Acrylics do dry quickly (though you can add retarder medium or use a brand with a slower drying time), but this can also be an advantage as it prevents overworking of an area or over-mixing colors and getting mud.
