From the Artist: This Valentine's is for my daughter who has her birthday on Valentine's day and she asked for a romantic flower! It's painted in acrylics on an old chopping board finished with a border of gold leaf.
It is of almond blossoms, which are the first to bloom each year, and inspired by Van Gogh's painting. The white petals are symbolic of innocence, purity, and hope. Inscribed on the reverse is Khalil Gibran's verse: Life without love is like a tree without blossom or fruit.
