From the Artist: "In this large painting I applied two hearts, let them dry and then took a palette knife and created two more over the top of the first two. I let the paint sit for about 10 hours and then came back in with a rag and wiped some of the paint away leaving some of the image and revealing the two smaller hearts. The stars and moon glow in the dark."
From the Painting Guide: Who could resist such a Valentine's? The hearts are intriguing shapes and textures, making you look at them carefully, rather than just the quick glance one might give a more traditional heart shape. Should one read meaning into the broken edges? Probably not. The background creates a great feeling of depth. As for glowing in the dark... it'll certainly make you think of the artist if you hang it at the bottom of your bed.
