From the Artist: Art is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. I work in watercolour and mixed mediums. My art work brings the ordinary to one's attention, shares the beauty of God's creation with others, and records the passing of time in our changing Ozarks' culture. Art and creativity is a life style, tradition, and often a necessity in Ozarks' life that dominates in many aspects from painting, cooking, quilting, or repairing broken equipment, making due with what is on hand. Art conveys messages of our time to other generations through colour, style, the scenes portrayed, lines, form, and metaphor.

From the Painting Guide: This painting is dominated by the interactions of strong and complementary colors. The tree is an anchor to hang the painting on, rather than a subject; a clothes rack onto which these swathes of color have been hung. It's likely that the color itself has more meaning in Ozarks' culture than the scene itself.
