From the Painting Guide: In the busy, consumer age we live in, i believe Christmas always feels more special when someone's spent time making cards and small gifts. There's a lovely sense of the light cast by the candles, the reflections of the flames, and of the soft light candles give.
Things to Consider When Looking at This Painting:
Kissing: Watch out for elements that kiss in a painting, as this can create awkward negative spaces that distract the viewer's eye -- such as at the the top of the left-most candle.
