From the Artist: This is my imagination of a Skyline of Downtown NY and its reflection. The skyline of high-rise and low-rise buildings of any downtown fascinates me. I got the idea of reflection from New York downtown while going in a ferry to Statue of Liberty few years back. This photo has not done justice to the painting as it shows some lights over the edges of the building which does not exist in the real painting. The reflection and the buildings (brown) is in impasto technique and has slight projection view from an angle. I thoroughly enjoyed doing it and want to do same in different colors and may be in different size.

From the Painting Guide: In this painting I think the centrally place horizon line works rather than divides the composition into two halves. Why? Because the colors and shapes in the top and bottom sections of the painting work together to unify the composition. Because while there is a definite horizontal line below the buildings, the bottom edge of this dark tone isn't straight.
