From the Artist: This is typhoon season in summery Hong Kong. From my window I enjoy a very urban scene of one of the most densely populated areas on the planet. I've tried to capture the atmosphere of an incoming typhoon, which was over by the time I finished the work. Another typhoon just passed by some 10 days ago!
The actual colors of the buildings are in fact more dull and grayish. I tried to spice them up a bit. However, I'm not quite sure I managed to abstract-ize the landscape enough as it was asked in the project's terms.
From the Painting Guide: While your buildings are still quite realistic in shape, structure, and proportion, you've changed the colors significantly. It's not really abstraction, but it's still altered reality so does sort of fit the project. Ultimately the project doesn't matter, and it's a painting with gloriously complex colors.
