From the Artist: Not sure if I got the theme right but this was my interpretation. This is how I feel in the dead heat of the night with no air conditioning and there are bush fires somewhere out there with the smell of smoke lingering around. In the morning the sky looks orange and the sun a vibrant orange from the bush fires.
From the Painting Guide: There isn't really a right or a wrong with interpreting this project, provided there's "urban" and "abstraction" involved. And that you've certainly got. That said, I don't get heat from the painting though, but rather a city in an earthquake. A sense of buildings being shaken as someone would their dreadlocks.
