From the Artist: My painting is showing some of the main architecture in this city near me. As well as the Blue Ridge Mountains that surround it. I have made the painting as graphic and bold intentionally to show my excitement about the new art museum opening there in September 2008. People who live in and around Roanoke will recognize the star for it has been the icon since 1949. I see the museum as the new icon.
