From the Artist: This painting was done after I completed a course on abstract painting at Dulwich Gallery, London. It's a sort of post-modern composition, a la Rauschenberg; I was inspired by the course that I had done and tried to include objects from the still life set up we had had, the materials that we had used and pictures of people visiting the gallery and working there. Each picture refers to another in various ways, for instance the visitors looking at the painting.
From the Painting Guide: It looks like a painting you had fun creating! Even without knowing the "real" story behind each element in it, I find myself pulled in to look closely, wondering about the connections between them, and creating a narrative.
