From the Artist: This was a challenge. My objective was to produce a series of pictures in a consistent style with a plausible attempt to represent the same dog and farmer. I wanted to add a little touch to each picture -- the numbers on the board in the farmer's hand in the first picture and the golfer in the second.
From the Painting Guide: Painting the same characters in different settings and poses is indeed one of the challenges of illustrating a story. I think your three paintings have a definite continuation of style and likeness. If I were to be picky, I'd mention that Misty on the cover doesn't have a black outline like in the other two paintings.
