From the Artist: I learned a lot about color mixing (again and again) and how difficult shadows are and the sheep heads kept looking like dogs but I did my best. I also learned that I will never again use canvas paper as it buckled and got ridges I can't get out even though I glued to cardboard after painting to try and get a photo without waves in it. Better to use a rigid support I guess. Misty the border collie made me happy to paint as I feel I captured her energy of running to search. And the baby lamb's ear in the sun makes me smile.

From the Painting Guide: Canvas paper does like to buckle if there's a lot of wet paint on it, or very fluid paint. You could try stretching it like watercolor paper before painting on it, or switching to painting on card or thick watercolor paper (though the latter is expensive).
