From the Artist: This is my first submission to a painting project. I chose pages 28 and 29 to begin with, however I found so many beautiful reference photos I have many more I'd like to do just to keep on practicing. I have just started painting and am learning a lot from this site so thank you.

I made the pictures 8.5x9.5 inches leaving room at the bottom to insert the text on an 11.5" size page. At first, when I read the project I thought "No way could I do this" and then decided of course I could never do it if I never tried... and I am happy with the result.

From the Painting Guide: You're so right, while trying something doesn't necessarily mean success, if you don't attempt it then you'll definitely never succeed. I think you ought indeed to be pleased with the results and if you do any more, do submit them for the project gallery too!

I think there's a lovely painterly style to the images. A sense of the textures in the scene, like you can feel the roughness of Misty's coat or the softness of the grass.
