"City Near Mountains" by Jön Otterson

From the Artist: For this project I was trying out a new [for me] technique, and I was quite pleased with both the technique and the painting that resulted from it. I also was trying to get the feeling of a misty view of a metropolis between water and distant mountains, with no particular city in mind. I love both water and mountains, so I often incorporate both into my landscapes. I plan to explore this technique further and see where it leads me. A great deal of my paintings are abstract to one degree or another. I feel it is the best way for me to express myself through my paintings.
