This video shows the creation of a small painting of a red onion that's started growing, from start to finish. The painting is 6x6" (15x15cm) in size, done with oil paints on gessoed Ampersand Gessoboard. The red-purple of the skin and the green shoots growing from the onion make a strong visual combination because they're complementary colors.
