Working in Some White

Next I worked some white into the area intended to be the sand on the sea shore. Because some of the burnt sienna was still wet, the white isn't brilliant white.

I was working with very little paint on my brush, scrubbing it across to spread it fairly thinly and rapidly. (Titanium white is a very opaque color so it's easy to inadvertently obscure lower layers of paint.) I hasten to add that I was using an old brush to do this. It's a technique that will ruin a paint brush, so I never do it with a 'good' brush.
