Sketching in the City of Venice, Italy

I had great fun trying to get down on paper the positions of the gondoliers -- where they stood, how they positioned their feet, how they held the oar. Again, this was an exercise in observation, to supplement the reference photos I took, from all sorts of angles, to use as a check against my memory that I've the positioned correctly when I do a painting.
