Painting Tip: Draw on Canvas With a Brush Not a Pencil

A helpful painting tip submitted by a fellow artist.

One of best pieces of advice I've received from a teacher was to 'draw with a brush' rather than draw on a canvas with a pencil, which tends to smudge or show through. Use a brush with very thin wash to sketch.
