Color Mixing Tip: Mixing Small Amounts of a Color

A color mixing tip to add to your color theory knowledge.

By , About.com Guide

Use a coffee stirrer, like the ones that come from fast-food restaurants, to mix very small amounts of paint. I enjoy painting lots of fine detail using little dabs of color. It is much easier to blend with such a light, narrow tool than a larger, conventional palette knife.
