Watch as artist Larry Seiler paints a still life of a banana in oil paints, using a loose, painterly approach. He uses a just three colors plus white, based on a split-complementary palette (he explains what this is). Working alla prima, he creates the painting in one session. Later in the painting's development, he uses a painting knife. There's a quick glimpse at the start of the video of the actual banana he's painting.
