Get working in mixed media with this combination cross stitch and watercolor painting technique. You start by backstitching your design (it's suggested that you use an extra piece of floss so it stands out well), then simply paint in the desired color using watercolor. It's a mixed media technique that will work very nicely for artist trading cards, or art journal pages. If you're a stitcher who has never used watercolor before, don't worry, the video clearly demonstrates exactly how easy it is (and what supplies you need).
