Landscape Painting Video: "The Silk Staircase"

Follow Australian landscape artist Christopher Lees as he paints, starting with the plotting of his composition on the blank canvas to the finished painting. You'll see that he first paints a section completely before moving on to another rather than blocking on colors or tones over the whole canvas as some artists do. Neither approach is better than the other; it's worth trying both to see which works better for you. (Note: At the start of the video the only sounds are the artist handling the canvas.)
