In this short painting video, artist Jerry Fresia eloquently expresses the thrill that comes from painting, from seeing the world through the colors on your palette. He says painting isn't about objects, it's all about color, seeing it and putting it down with a brush. "When I look at something I don't see houses or boats or water, I see color. In a painting I release the color from my palette, not worrying about the results. You look for color, you try to mix it, you put it down. It's all about getting a kick, a thrill, about putting a stroke down so another human being can see the feeling that you had. It's not literal, it's not about results nor objects; it's about brush strokes, the human touch of paint on canvas."
