Photo Gallery: Millais Exhibition at the Tate

Millais's painting Ophelia is probably one of the most-viewed paintings in the collection of the Tate gallery and even surrounded by other magnificent works by the artist stands out as a spectacular painting. The exhibition at the Tate is the first since 1989 to cover the entirety of Millais's career, which saw him become one of the most successful British artists in the 19th century.

The Millais exhibition opened at the Tate Britain in London (26 September 2007 to 13 January 2008) and will travel to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam (15 February to 18 May 2008) and two venues in Japan, the Kitakyushu Municipal Museum of Art (7 June to 17 August 2008) and The Bunkamura Museum of Art (30 August to 26 October 2008).
