This figure study was done using watercolor pencils. This is a medium that provides a cross-over between drawing and painting. You draw with them as you would with any pencil, but then if you run a wet brush over the watercolor pencil, the color is dispersed and turns into a watercolor wash.

This was done as a 10-minute drawing in a life drawing workshop. I think the background needed more pencil applied to it to create an area of more solid color rather than it still being so linear, but I ran out of time.
