From the Artist: Woodland Path is painted on a plastic, fluted-edged tray. I base-coated with black as it was just an old tray I bought at either a garage sale or the dollar store (I can't remember which) and had a pattern on it. I also varnished it after the black undercoating as I was afraid it might be prone to chip.
I found it a delightful surface on which to paint! I liked it better than canvas actually. After I finished the painting I varnished it with two coats of high gloss varnish.
