Art Law Blog
As the name would suggest, a blog about legal issues in the art world, such as copyright infringements, theft, sales and acquisitions. Not written in legalese.

Abstract Artist's Journal
The blog of Martha Marshall, an artist working mainly with abstracts, living in Florida in the US. It's a great 'window' into the life of a working artist.

Artist's Inspiration
The blog of the artist Robin Ann Walker, based in Dallas, Texas, United States, who describes herself as "a professional artist serving the hospitality and corporate art markets" and her work as "contemporary and unique, often combining non-traditional materials and techniques". It's an interesting read, not least because of the insights into this section of the art market it provide.

Making a Mark
In her blog, Making a Mark, London-based Katherine Tyrrell writes about all aspects of her life as an artist working mainly in pastel, pen and ink, and pencil. It has got more of a heavy-duty read that takes time to work through, rather than a fairly quick and inspirational blog to read daily.

Post Secret
Original postcard art submitted to the site compiler, each telling a secret. Even if you don't (can't?) believe every 'secret', it's still compelling.

About.com Painting Blog
Well, what would a list of my favorite blogs be without a mention of my own? I use it to highlight new articles I've written, pieces I've enjoyed reading on the web, forum discussions that have particularly caught my eye, what's happening on my easel, answers to questions I've had by email... the list goes on. The only common thread is that it's art and painting related.
