Art Glossary: Newsprint

Definition: Thin, newspaper-quality paper that hasn't been printed on. As it's generally cheap, it's ideal for sketching as it helps eliminate the feeling that you're 'wasting' good paper. It's also ideal for ironing out wax from a batik.
