Watch as Painting a Day artist Robert Bissett (http://robertbissett.com) creates a painting called "Art Lovers". It's an 8x6" (20x15cm) acrylic painting of two people viewing a Chuck Close painting in a museum. An hour and 15 minutes or so of painting are compressed into a slide show of about a minute, but the action is slow enough that you can see what's going on. Robert says he used a limited palette of three primaries, black and white. There's no narration (it doesn't need any), just some gentle piano accompaniment.
