Freedom Morns by John W Mounce
September 11th Gallery
© John W Mounce 2003, 9x12", acrylic, size not stated, charcoal

From the Artist: "A friend sent me a graphic depicting similarly what's in my painting, I really took it to heart. I decided to paint my interpretation. The Eagle, a symbol of America's strength and resilience, a watcher over/ protector, but on that day, the protector shed tears as it could not protect against this predator."
