World Trade Flowers by Albert Crudo
September 11th Gallery
© Albert Crudo 2000, 20 x 24", oil on canvas

From the Artist: "I painted this image in February 2000. It was the first in a series of 'floralscapes' I was (and am still) working on. What was once solely a painting symbolizing New York's vibrancy and eclectic energy, on September 11, 2001, took on an eerily prophetic quality. Rather than a commemoration of a tragedy, I wish the message this piece now to convey is one of strength, of our country blossoming anew and being even more beautiful, spectacular, and breath-taking than ever."
